Privacy Policy

Beantracker is built to keep your data yours.

Updated June 15, 2026

The short version

Beantracker does not run its own servers and does not collect or sell your personal data. Everything you log lives in your own private iCloud account, which only you control. We — the developer — never see it.

What we store, and where

Logged cups and custom drinks are saved with SwiftData and synced through your private iCloud (CloudKit) database tied to your Apple ID. Preferences such as your name, daily goal, reminder times, and theme are saved in your private iCloud key-value storage. All of this stays inside your personal Apple account; it is not transmitted to us and we cannot access, query, or export it.

Device permissions

Notifications are optional — if you enable reminders, Beantracker schedules local notifications on your device and no reminder data leaves it. Beantracker does not request access to your camera, microphone, photos, contacts, location, or health data.

Purchases

Beantracker Pro is an optional subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat for subscription status, using an anonymous app-generated identifier — no name, email, or coffee-log contents. Apple's and RevenueCat's handling is governed by their own privacy policies.

Analytics & tracking

No third-party advertising, no cross-app tracking, no profiling analytics SDKs. We don't build ad profiles or share data with data brokers.

Data retention & deletion

Because your data lives in your iCloud account, you control its lifetime. Delete individual cups in the app, or remove all app data anytime — see the Your Data page. Deleting the app and its iCloud data removes your info from Apple's sync.

International transfers

iCloud and subscription processing rely on Apple and RevenueCat infrastructure, which may store data in data centers outside your country, governed by those providers' privacy practices.

Children

Intended for a general audience, not directed at children under 13; we don't knowingly collect children's personal information.
